Integrating with COLORx 7

Integrating COLORx® 7 with Rundoo
Rundoo supports integration with Benjamin Moore COLORx® 7. When set up, tint transactions from COLORx 7 appear directly in the Rundoo new sale screen — no manual entry required. This reduces key strokes, reduces mistints, improves inventory accuracy, and allows tint history to be stored in Rundoo.

Before You Start
⚠️ This guide is for COLORx 7 only. If you're on COLORx 6, use the COLORx 6 integration guide.
You'll need:
- COLORx 7 installed, registered and activated on any computers running Colorx7. If you have questions about this from the Benjamin Moore side, please reach out to your territory rep.
Minimum computer requirements for Colorx7
Windows 10® Professional build 19041.0 (Released in 2020) 64-bit, with the ability to upgrade to Windows 11® -OR[1]Windows 11 Professional 64-bit
RAM - 16GB recommended (8GB minimum)
Hard Drive - 256GB or larger hard disk, 50 GB of free hard disk space
Display - 1024x768 minimum
USB Ports – 6
Network Interface - Ethernet RJ-45 port/ WiFi
Serial Port -Mandatory if you are connecting to legacy COROB equipment

Valid Retailer Gateway login credentials (the same username/password used to log into the Benjamin Moore Retailer Portal)

Your store's Benjamin Moore Outlet Number (find it in Rundoo under Admin → Location → Integrations)
Setting It Up - Summary of the Benjamin Moore Guide Above
Option A: During COLORx 7 Activation
If you're activating COLORx 7 for the first time:

Open COLORx Utilities and click Activate

Answer the prompts about data sharing and COLORx 6 migration as applicable

When asked "Integrate this computer with POS?" — select Yes, then click Next

Under Setup POS, enter your Retailer Gateway username and password, then click Login

Select your Store Number from the dropdown, then click Next
-
Review the activation summary and click Activate

When the confirmation appears, click Close, then Launch App
Option B: After COLORx 7 Is Already Activated
If COLORx 7 is already running on the machine:

Open COLORx Utilities

Click the gear icon (⚙️) in the top right

Select Setup POS
-
Enter your Retailer Gateway username and password, then click Login

Select your Store Number from the dropdown
-
Click Register
-
A "POS Setup successfully" message will confirm setup is complete — click OK
Testing It Out

In COLORx 7, look up a color (e.g., search "Chantilly Lace" with product code N536) and select it

Click Send to POS
-
Enter the Number of Cans Tinted and Number of Labels to Print

Click Send — a success message will confirm the transaction posted

Open Rundoo to a New Sale — you should see "X tinted products" below the product search bar

Click that text, select the tinted product, and click Add to Sale

The product populates with color, formula, and quantity pre-filled 🎉
Troubleshooting
I completed setup but don't see tinted products in Rundoo
-
Confirm the tint transaction posted successfully in COLORx 7 (you should see a success message with a tint transaction number)

Confirm the Benjamin Moore Outlet Number in Rundoo (Admin → Location → Integrations) matches the Store Number selected during COLORx 7 POS setup

Contact Rundoo Support if the issue persists — include the tint transaction number from the COLORx 7 success message
Login failed during POS setup

Verify credentials at the Benjamin Moore Retailer Gateway portal directly

Credentials are case-sensitive — confirm there are no extra spaces
-
If your account was recently created or reset, allow a few minutes before retrying
-
If none of the above work, you can reach out to Rundoo support to ensure correct setup.
No store numbers appear in the dropdown after logging in
- Your Retailer Gateway account may not have store access assigned — contact your Benjamin Moore rep to confirm account permissions
The tint machine isn't responding after setup

Close COLORx 7 completely, unplug the tint machine, wait 30 seconds, and reconnect

Reopen COLORx 7 and attempt a test transaction
Site Keys
If you were previously using the COLORx 6 integration, your site key information is already in our database - so you can skip this step. If you have not previously used the integration with Rundoo, then you’ll need to reach out to support (via the chat box or phone) so they can assist with the final part of setup.
