In the Rundoo system, Custom Prices allow store owners to assign unique prices to one or more products for individual customers. Custom Prices can be applied on a rule-based level (e.g., across vendor, department, class, and/or fineline), or a product specific level. This feature is especially useful for businesses that offer personalized pricing schemes or discounts for certain customers.
On a pricing methodology note, we have moved to a lowest price wins world. This means that multiple prices are considered when pricing a product and the lowest of those prices will be used to price the product when it is added to a cart. This means that even when a customer has a custom price for a product or set of products, if that price is not lower than say the customer’s tier price for that product, the custom price will not be selected as the price for the product. This is because the lowest price will be used to price the product, which in this case would be the tier price.

Our powerful search function has a limitation when it comes to custom pricing rules.
If you create a custom price rule for a department that includes Product A, searching for Product A will not display the price rule set for that department. The rule still applies when selling, but it won't appear in search results.
