Rule-Based Tiers

In the system, rule-based tiers can be any tier other than Tier 1, which will be a manual tier. A manual tier will have a specific price for every product. A rule-based tier can help you manage product prices across vendors or product categories like department, class, and fineline.

How to Set Up Price Tiers

To set up a rule-based tier, navigate to admin and click on “Customer” in the left sidebar. At the top of the Customer page, there is a button that says “Add pricing tier”.

Click that button and make sure the “Rule” is selected.

After clicking save, you can add new rules for product category, vendor or individual products by clicking the “Add new rule” button. Any products that don’t match the rules for the new rule-based pricing tier will default to the product’s Tier 1 price.
