Unbox all items. There will be three boxes for a single card reader station: the dock, the reader itself, and the power cord. Images of each below:

Hook up all items. Plug the cord into a wall outlet, plug the cord into the doc, and set the reader on the dock.

Full Setup

Turn the reader on. Hold the power button on the right hand side of the reader.
Select your country and language.
Connect it to Wi-Fi. You’ll have to enter your Wi-Fi password.
Update the reader! The reader almost always asks to be updated to the latest software. Say yes! This may take 20-30 minutes.
Provide the pairing code. Once the card reader is up-to-date, it will have a 3 word pairing code separated by hyphens- something like “smartly-wire-mobile”. Provide this code - and what you’d like the reader to be called (ie Redwood City Terminal 1) to your implementation manager if this is your first time getting set up with a card reader or to the support team by messaging in the chat below.
Confirm it works. Go to Sales, scroll down, and select a card reader. Now add a product—does it show up on the reader?

Label the dock and the reader! To make sure you always know which reader is which, we recommend labeling both the reader and the doc with the name you provided in Step 7. You can do by adding a sticker / tape to the reader and dock and labeling it!
Recommended Stylus. If you’d like to capture signatures. This stylus was the one we got the best response with out of all the ones tested. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CBPNS485/ref=pe_386300_442618370_TE_dp_i1

Ethernet Hub. If you’d like to have your reader setup through a direct ethernet connection vs. via wifi.
