This Rundoc walks through the full set of steps for carrying out a sale on the Rundoo POS.

Step 1: Search for a Customer

  1. If the Customer is a retail customer (often just called a “cash customer”, “counter sales”, or “walk in”), you can skip this step!
  2. If the Customer has an account with you (e.g., a Contractor), you can add them using the search box (”Search accounts”). You can search using any information about the customer if it is in Rundoo, including their name, phone number, email address, account number, mailing address, etc.
    1. If they do not have an account in Rundoo and would like to create a customer account, click “Create customer account.” Phone Numbers are required for all customer accounts. This is how they’ll access the Rundoo customer app to pay invoices!

Step 2: Search and add products

If you’re hoping to use a scanner with our app you’re in luck! We’re compatible with many scanners. Please check out Setting up Barcode Scanners! to ensure yours are configured correctly to work with our system.

We rely on ‘|” as a prefix and suffix to the barcode to ensure our web-based platform can scan your item correctly! So to test it out, feel free to go to a fields where you can type and scan a barcode if it looks like “|123456789012|” you’re good to go! But make sure oyur products has this as thier Additional IDs How to add a new Product during a New Transaction!

Scanning products will automatically add quantities to the cart!

If your product doesn’t have barcodes no need to fear we have an amazing search process!

Search for products by name, SKU (or UPCs/Additional Identifiers), or product code. Once you've found the product, add it to the sale by clicking "Add" or simply pressing Enter/Return on your keyboard.

Step 3 (Optional): Enter required customer information

If these fields are enabled there will be a red box indicating to your team to fill out! You can not override these settings at checkout and should go back to the customer profile to toggle settings that might be preventing you from checking out!
