Step 1: FOR YOU, Add their phone number to a customer contact
- Open the customer, or create a new one.
- Go to General > Contact, and ensure a contact has their cell phone number. This must be a number they can receive texts to.
Step 2: FOR THEM, log in to the app
- Download the app from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store: iOS or Android. You can search for “Rundoo” and the customer app is the black one. (The blue one is the mobile POS, which you can read about here Using the Mobile POS App).
- Log in with the phone number added in step 1.
How do customers learn about the contractor app?
Solution: QR codes and email links
Statements are a great way to reach customers. Once a month, you get the attention of nearly all of your highest-value customers. A number of clients already use statement messages (Admin > Communications > Statement message) to highlight new products, promote sales, or just say thank you.
We added two items to statements that help promote the contractor app:
- QR Code: Statements will include a QR code to download the app and pay outstanding invoices. A personalized message underneath the QR code will say which phone number the customer should use to log in.

- Email Link: Statement emails will include a button to pay in the app.

When a customer scans the QR code or taps the email button, the link will take them to the correct App Store (Apple App Store for iPhone, Google Play Store for Android).
