What are Store Accounts

Store Accounts are customer accounts used for internal store purposes.

Why would I use a Store Account?

You could use a store account when you want to remove inventory and use it, and then be able to write it off for tax purposes.

How do I create a Store Account and make sure it’s treated differently than a regular external Customer Account?

  1. Customers —> New Account —> Enter Store Account details (e.g. Can specify Store Use/Store Account in Name) —> Save
  2. Once Saved, find and open that new customer account
  3. Update financing terms to Net30 —> Save

How do I use a Store Account?

  1. Once the account is in place, you can carry out a sale to remove the needed inventory and “charge” it to the account.
  2. Within Sales —> Enter Store Account —> Enter products —> Edit the price to $0.00 —> Save —> Enter Sales notes —> Charge to Account
