Loyalty points let contractors see how much they've spent at your store — measured in points, 1 per dollar — inside the Rundoo contractor app. Your register doesn't change.

In the Admin mode, open the Communications tab. The Loyalty points section sits at the bottom of the page, under Card payment surcharge.

Turning on loyalty points

Scroll to the Loyalty points section and flip the Show loyalty points toggle on. That's the whole switch — there's nothing to install, no per-customer opt-in, no location-level setup.

Once it's on, every contractor who signs into your Rundoo contractor app sees their running point total and the policy you've written (see below). Toggle it off and the loyalty tab disappears from the app; the underlying point totals aren't deleted, so flipping it back on later restores what they had.

Loyalty points are display-only inside the contractor app. They don't appear anywhere in Rundoo's admin or POS — not on the customer detail page, not in reports, and not as a tender at checkout. If a contractor wants to know their balance, they check their app.

Setting earn and redemption rates

The earn rate is fixed at 1 point per dollar spent, and points reset every year on January 1st. There are no knobs to change either — the Policy textarea lets you change the wording contractors see, but the underlying math is hardcoded.

Edit the Policy text if your program rewards points differently in practice (say, a holiday double-points week you announce separately), or if you want to add instructions about how contractors redeem their points outside Rundoo — a phone call to the store, a quarterly mailer, etc. Save commits the change; Cancel discards it. The updated policy appears in the contractor app the next time they open it.

There's no "redemption rate" field because Rundoo doesn't process redemptions. If you run a program where 100 points = $10 off, that math happens in your head (or on a sticky note at the counter) — not in the POS. Use the Policy field to tell your contractors how to ask for their reward.

Viewing a customer's points balance

A customer's point balance isn't visible in Rundoo. There's no points column on the customer list, no points tab on the customer detail page, and no points line in reports.

Contractors see their own balance in the Rundoo contractor app, under the Loyalty tab. If a contractor at the counter asks "how many points do I have?", the fastest answer is to have them open the app on their phone. If they don't use the app, you'd need to total their YTD sales manually — the Sales YTD figure on their profile header is effectively their year-to-date points (1 per dollar) minus anything they've already redeemed out-of-band.

Don't confuse Rundoo loyalty points with Benjamin Moore's Contractor rewards program — the PaxID field on a customer's Settings tab tags them into BM's separate rewards system, which Rundoo syncs to but doesn't own. The two programs run independently.

Redeeming points at checkout

Rundoo's POS doesn't include a loyalty-points tender. Points aren't subtracted from a sale total, there's no "apply loyalty" button in the cart, and no loyalty method appears in the tender picker at payment — see Tender methods for the full list of what does appear there.

If your store honors a points-for-dollars promotion, the redemption happens off-system: the cashier takes the points total from the contractor's app, calculates the discount, and applies it as a line-level price edit (see Sales) or a store-wide promotion (see Creating Promotions). Rundoo's role ends at displaying the running total in the contractor app.
