How Rundoo handles candidates who come from our clients, prospects, and partners.

Since Rundoo was founded in 2021, our mission has stayed the same: to empower independent supply stores with phenomenal technology.

We have been very fortunate in our pursuit of that mission. Hundreds of paint, hardware, lumber, lawn & garden, farm & feed, and other independent retailers across the country have chosen to work with us, and dozens of manufacturers and distributors have chosen to partner with us.

During this journey, we have grown to about 50 full-time employees, and we are continuing to hire.

Occasionally, a candidate applies to join Rundoo who currently works at a client, prospect, or partner of ours. This could put us in a tricky situation. We deeply value the relationships we have built with our clients, prospects, and partners over the years, so we wanted to outline our philosophy when this happens.

We treat these candidates like any others

They won't be excluded because of our relationship with their employer. They also won't get special treatment because of it. We will aim to exclude anyone they have worked with directly from the interview process. We ask every candidate to avoid sharing non-public information, and we emphasize that especially in these cases.

The candidate decides when to tell their employer

While interviewing, we let the candidate decide how and when to communicate with their current employer. We encourage openness when appropriate, but we respect that employees may prefer discretion during a job search.

Once an offer is accepted, we expect prompt notification

If the candidate accepts an offer, we expect they will notify their employer promptly. When the employer is also a key client or partner, we may reach out once that transition is underway to keep the relationship transparent and strong.

The goal: integrity, respect, optimism

Our hope is that having an alumnus at Rundoo strengthens the relationship. We also recognize the company may be upset, and in rare cases, may choose to stop working with us. That is a risk we knowingly take, and we will work hard to avoid it.

Our ultimate goal is simple: build a company that serves this industry well and treats people the right way. When someone chooses to join Rundoo, we want that decision to be grounded in integrity, respect, and optimism about what we're building together.
