Key concepts

Here are some important terms to understand before jumping in and creating reports. These might look familiar if you’ve worked with other BI or SQL tools.

• Datasets are the core building blocks for creating reports; these contain fields related to a particular entity (Customers) along with any relevant joined data (Aging data).
• Columns are how data is displayed in a report. Each column represents one field in a data set, for example Sales YTD in the Customers dataset.
